All normal LLELA facilities and activities are available as of noon on May 18!

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed the maintenance work at the outlet ahead of schedule, and we are now open for fishing, camping, and other activities as normal. However, the water level in the river is still low. Check the release rate at the Lewisville Dam before you come, if you are counting on water in the river. Normal flow is 120-250 cfs, anything less is pretty dry.

Guided Recreation at LLELA

Outdoor enthusiasts are always welcome to enjoy fishing, hiking, birding, camping, and paddling activities on their own during LLELA's regular hours of operation (open daily 7 a.m.-5 p.m. November 1 to February 28; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. March 1 to October 31). However, there are also diverse guided activities which can be enjoyed by visitors of a wide variety of skill levels and ages. Program offerings are always changing and growing, so keep a close eye on this web site for new opportunities. The calendar has up-to-date information.

You don't have to be part of a guided group to visit LLELA. You are welcome to explore LLELA on your own during regular hours of operation.
