All normal LLELA facilities and activities are available as of noon on May 18!

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed the maintenance work at the outlet ahead of schedule, and we are now open for fishing, camping, and other activities as normal. However, the water level in the river is still low. Check the release rate at the Lewisville Dam before you come, if you are counting on water in the river. Normal flow is 120-250 cfs, anything less is pretty dry.

Season Passes

2012 campSeason Passes are $60 (cash or check), and are issued in the form of a sticker that must be affixed to your vehicle at the time of purchase. These passes allow a vehicle’s occupants to enter LLELA throughout the year without charge. Passes also allow entry to Lake Park and Tower Bay. Normally, LLELA admission is $5 per vehicle per entry.

Passes are not transferrable, and are valid for one calendar year (Jan. 1-Dec. 31). To purchase a Season Pass, drive to LELLA in the vehicle to which you intend to affix the Season Pass and bring cash or a check to the Gatehouse. We are unable to accept credit cards. The entrance to LLELA is at the corner of Jones St. and Kealy Ave (201 E. Jones St.).

Gatehouse hours are the same as LLELA hours:

  • 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. November 1-February 28
  • 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. March 1-October 31
