Summer Lecture Series

Join the Friends of LLELA for their Summer Lecture Series:  Desert Ecology and Its Influence on North Texas Heat

When people think of Texas weather, they often imagine a desert-like environment and are surprised by the humidity and rainfall of North Texas. Despite these differences, the southwestern deserts still have a large impact on the meteorology and climatology of North Texas. Join the City of Lewisville’s Interpretive Park Ranger Addy France to learn about this fascinating aspect of the North Texas environment.

Free with paid entrance to LLELA.  $5/vehicle; credit or debit card only.  Cash, tap to pay, and American Express are not accepted.  Meet at the Classroom located at the Blackjack Trail.

Addy France, CIG, is the Interpretive Ranger at LLELA Nature Preserve. With a background rooted in both desert and prairie landscapes, Addy is dedicated to helping others see the wild world through curious, caring eyes.
