RESCHEDULED: Art Boat Kayak Tour

  • Date: September 01, 2019 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Location: Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area
    201 E. Jones Street
    Lewisville, Texas 75057
  • Introduction: All skill levels are welcome and all equipment is provided. LLELA instructors will give an intro to kayaking and water safety basics. Ages 7 and up.

**The Beaver Pond is drying up quickly in August's heat. The water level is low at the launch site and in other spots. As happens each summer, there is a large growth of floating algae in some spots due to warmer water temperatures. It can create a messy experience if you're not accustomed to handling a paddle as you move through algae. In the interest of customer service we are rescheduling this event.**

Art and nature go hand in hand, or sometimes paddle in water! Kayak to a secluded spot, dip a paintbrush in the calm water, and see how nature inspires you. You will make memories (and even a piece of art) on this unique kayak tour.

All skill levels are welcome; paddlers receive an introduction to kayaking on dry land before pushing off into the water. All equipment is provided. Ages 7 and up. $25 per paddler. Registration is required for this event and closes at 11 am Friday, August 30th.

*In addition to the class fee, there is a $5 per vehicle entry fee payable upon arrival by cash or check only.
